If a client's funder type changes (eg. LTC to Palliative), make sure to end date the existing order(s) and create the new order(s) as per the HSO. Never delete an order.
Follow these steps to change a client's funder.
1. Create the new order.
2. Set the new order as the default then choose:
- Yes - to transfer the client's visits to the new order (effective of new order start date).
- No - to keep the visits applied to the current order. These visits will be deleted when the current order is end dated. Go to step 4.
3. If Yes, confirm changes and un check the exclusion boxes to ensure ALL visits are included.
The new order is now the default and in bold.
4. Open the current funder order.
5. Add a Stop Date as per the HSO > Save and Close.
5. Click Yes to confirm the order end date.

6. Review Order Status Change window and add a comment if applicable > OK.
7. Review the specific changes to order status and visit records.
8. Click OK to accept the changes.
The orders will appear in the Orders list with the applicable Start and Stop Dates.
9. If the client has an existing Client Charge order make sure to also end date that order.
