The VCH Visit Verification report is a complex report containing a lot of information that is best managed in MS Excel to allow filtering and sorting. This article will explain how to run, save and use the VCH Visit Verification report utilizing the excel template attached at the bottom of this article.
Run and Save the Report
- Go to Report Explorer > Audits > REP074-VCH Visit Verification
- Select the appropriate department, area and date range
- Employee = Show all values (defaults to this setting). This parameter can be changed to run the report for a single employee or multiple employees.
- Funders = Show all values (defaults to this setting). This parameter is used by surge providers in order to only report on VCH Visits. The setting should only be changed if a specific funder is required.
- Click OK and preview the report
- View the report title, notes and header information here, you cannot see it when you save to excel.
- Select the printer icon at top left.
- In the print window, select:
- Print to File = Yes (checked)
- Type = XLS Data File
- Where = select location on your personal drive
- Open File = No (unchecked) (citrix cannot launch and view the excel file)
- OK
Open and Use the Report
- Open file explorer > navigate to the saved file location and open the excel file
- Column C: may not full display, widen the column
- Columns N-S: will cut off the end of lat/long address. Note: Widen the columns if you need to view the full address.
- Open the excel document template (below) > copy Row 1 and insert the copied row as the header row at the top of your data file.
- Highlight row 1 (the new column header row) > select Ctrl-Shift-L to insert column filters
- Filter Column B by employee ID to locate a specific employee.
- Sort and filter the report data as required.
