Dated Notes are used to document client and employee updates, conversations, issues and interactions. They will be attached to a client or employee’s profile. Dated Notes can be sent as an email and/or just be stored in the Client or Employee Information. Dated Notes should never be future dated as this causes problems for data quality. Follow the below steps to add a Dated Note.
1. Go to the Dated Notes folder in the Client or Employee Information.
2. Click . The Dated Note form displays.
3. In the Subject field, type what the dated note is about.
4. From the Type drop-down box, select the type of note you are creating.

5. The date defaults to today. Only change this to a back date if you are writing something that happened in the past. Note: do not future date a note as this causes problems for data quality.
6. Click Add.
7. Optional: Some notes have templates associated with them. **Check with your team to see if you use templates.
8. If you need to file this note into an additional information record (client or employee). Click File In... and search for the name.
9. If you need to send this as an email to an Outlook contact, then click To... and find your Outlook contact or group.
10. Click Save/Send.
