There are two types of contacts: Formal and Informal. Formal contacts are clinical contacts responsible for the care of the client (eg. Responisble Clinician, Case Manager, Social Worker). Informal contacts are personal contacts (eg. emergency contact, next of kin).
1. To add an Informal contact, click on the Informal tab > then click the Add icon.
2. Always select New Contact >OK.
3. Complete the highlighted areas:
- Last and First Name
- Relationship Type
- Relationship to the Client
- Phone Number(s)
- Notify User to Confirm Scheduling Change. If the contact is to be contacted regarding the client's schedule, then select this. Schedulers will see this alert in the client schedule as See Contact.
4. Always select No to add to CRM.
The Informal contact has been added as the Primary contact in bold.
