There are two types of contacts: Formal and Informal. Formal contacts are clinical contacts responsible for the care of the client (eg. Responisble Clinician, Case Manager, Social Worker). Informal contacts are personal contacts (eg. emergency contact, next of kin).
1. To add a Formal contact, click on the Formal tab > then click the Add icon and follow the steps below.
2. Search for your contact in the CRM. Be sure you are choosing the correct one as there is likely many duplicates.
3. If this is a new contact, you can proceed with New Contact and clicking OK.
The next steps only apply to New Contacts.
a) The required information for a new Formal Contact is Last Name, First Name, and Type, but you should also include phone numbers and an address, if possible.
b) Type should be set to Responsible Clinician (this information is from the HSO) > OK
c) Procura will automatically search the CRM to see if you’ve entered a name that already exists in the system – if a match is found, you’ll be given the option to match your newly created contact with one already in the system. If you do not want to match your contact, click No.
d) On the next screen, you can choose to add this new contact to the CRM – if you do not want to create a re-useable record for this contact, click No.
Your new Formal Contact will now appear in the Formal tab – you can still double-click their name to make edits.
